Privacy Policy
- What you listen to – albums, songs, playlists, searches – stays on your device. It is never sent to us.
- Beatsy plays music through Apple Music with your permission. Apple, not us, handles your Apple Music account.
- There is no account, no advertising and no tracking across apps or websites.
- This release does not collect app usage events or crash reports.
- Purchases are handled by Apple, with RevenueCat managing Pro access under an anonymous app user ID.

Apple Music
When you allow it, the app uses Apple’s MusicKit to read your Apple Music library, search the Apple Music catalog, play music and add albums to your library. This happens between your device and Apple. We never receive your library, your listening history or your Apple Account details. You can turn access off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Media & Apple Music.
Your data on your device
A few things are saved on your iPhone so the app works the way you left it: your settings (machine finish, disc style, theme, sounds, repeat and shuffle), your recent searches, and the disc that was last in the player. They are never uploaded to us. They are included in your device’s iCloud Backup if you have it turned on, which Apple manages, and are removed when you delete the app.
Data we collect
We collect a small amount of data that is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking:

We do not collect app usage events or crash reports in this release. We do not send album, artist, song or playlist names or your searches to RevenueCat. The app does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details from Apple.
Emails you send us
If you choose Send Feedback, the app opens an email draft in your own mail app with the app and system version filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send it. We use what you send only to answer you and improve the app.
Service providers
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we do not use data brokers.
Data retention
Settings, recent searches and the last disc stay on your device until you delete the app. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to verify Pro access, restore purchases, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California privacy law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Because the data we collect is anonymous, we may not be able to link it to you; contact us and we will help as far as we can. Deleting the app removes its local data but does not erase purchase records retained by Apple and RevenueCat. Beatsy Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase with no automatic renewal. Refund requests are handled by Apple. If you are in the EU or UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Purchase data is processed to provide and restore the Pro access you purchase. We use aggregate purchase analytics to understand purchase performance.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
