- Your players, photos, games and stats are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us.

- We use anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to improve the app.
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple, with RevenueCat managing subscription status under an anonymous ID.
Who we are
Dartwise (“the app”) is developed by Yin Lv (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question or request, contact 4617666@gmail.com.
Your data on your device
Everything you enter in the app – player names, player photos, games, scores, practice sessions, tournaments and statistics – is stored on your iPhone. We never receive it.
- Camera and photos: used only when you take or choose a player photo. The photo is kept inside the app. With the system photo picker, the app does not get access to the rest of your photo library.
- Microphone and speech recognition: used only when you turn on voice scoring. Your speech is turned into numbers on your device; audio is never sent to us or saved.
- Widgets and Live Activities read your recent games and stats from your device to show them on the Home Screen and Lock Screen.
- Backups: your data is included in your device’s iCloud Backup if you have it turned on, which Apple manages. You can also export your data as CSV or JSON, or share a score card – these files go only where you choose to send them.
Data we collect
We collect a small amount of data that is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking:
| Data | Purpose | Service |
|---|---|---|
| App usage events (for example: a match or practice started or finished, which game mode, number of players, whether the paywall was shown) | Analytics – to understand which features work and fix what doesn’t | Google Firebase Analytics |
| Crash reports and diagnostic data (device model, OS version, error codes) | App functionality – to find and fix crashes | Google Firebase Crashlytics |
| An app-instance identifier generated by Firebase | Analytics – to count events without knowing who you are | Google Firebase |
| Approximate region derived from your IP address | Analytics | Google Firebase Analytics |
| Purchase history (which subscription is active and when it renews or expires) linked to an anonymous app user ID | App functionality – to unlock subscriptions and restore purchases; analytics on subscription performance | RevenueCat |
Usage events never contain player names, photos, detailed scores or anything you type. The app does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details from Apple.
Emails you send us
If you choose Help and feedback, the app opens an email draft in your own mail app. Nothing is sent unless you send it. We use what you send only to answer you and improve the app.
Service providers
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) – firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- RevenueCat – revenuecat.com/privacy
- Apple (App Store purchases, speech recognition, iCloud Backup) – apple.com/legal/privacy
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we do not use data brokers.
Data retention
Your players, games and stats stay on your device until you delete them or the app. Analytics, crash and subscription data are kept by the providers above only as long as needed for the purposes described, according to their retention settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California privacy law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Because the data we collect is anonymous, we may not be able to link it to you; contact us and we will help as far as we can. You can stop all collection at any time by deleting the app. If you are in the EU or UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our legal basis for analytics and crash reporting is our legitimate interest in keeping the app reliable; subscription data is processed to perform our contract with you.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
